The event we've been waiting for all year has finally arrived. Gilberts Elementary proudly presents its 5th annual Fun Fair, to be held on Saturday, Feb. 11th from 12:00pm - 5:00pm! The theme this year is Matinee Movie Madness and it promises to be loads of fun for the whole family.
For a limited time, you can pre-order your tickets to the event by filling out the order form and returning it to school no later than Feb. 3rd. Advance tickets are 5 for $1.00, and they are 4 for $1.00 at the door. Tickets are required for all activities, games, food and beverages so take advantage of the savings by ordering your tickets early.
Each classroom will be presenting fabulous raffle baskets in different themes that will delight both kids and adults alike. For your convenience, you can pre-fill the entry forms for the baskets at home and bring them with to the fair.
Back by popular demand is the cake walk! This is your chance to win delicious goodies like cakes, cookies, brownies and more. We are in need of your sweet treats, so please drop off your goodies on Friday, Feb. 10th during school hours or after 6pm, or on Saturday, Feb. 11th after 10am.

February also brings Valentine's Day, so this is the perfect time to let someone know how special they are. Valentine Candy Grams let students deliver personalized candy messages to the classrooms of their sisters, brothers, friends or teachers. To order, just complete the order form and return to school with your payment no later than Wednesday, Feb. 8th. Candy Grams are $1.00 each and will be delivered to classrooms after school on Monday, Feb. 13th. Checks should be made payable to Gilberts Elementary PTO, and please write "PTO - Valentine Candy" on the outside of the envelope when sending to school.
Moms and sons - this is for you:
If you have been cooped up inside all winter, this upcoming Mother/Son event is the perfect way to release all that built-up energy while spending some quality time together. Moms and sons can spend the evening at Epic Air Trampoline Park in South Elgin on Thursday, March 1st and relax the next day with the day off of school. Check-in time for the event is 5:30pm and jumping is from 6-8:30pm. The cost is $30.00 per mom/son team and $5 for each additional son, and checks should be made payable to Gilberts PTO. In order to participate, you must return the registration form to school no later than Feb 24th.
Dippin' Dots will be available twice in February on the 10th and the 24th. Order forms are due by Feb. 7th to get your Dots on the 10th. For Dots on the 24th, please return orders no later than Feb. 21st.
