I was born and raised in Independence, Missouri (a suburb of Kansas City). I
attended Northwest Missouri State University where I met my husband Brian.
After marriage, I finished my degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis
where I also earned my Master's of Music Education. I taught middle school
music for five years in St. Louis before moving to Chicago in 2003. My husband
and I live in Des Plaines with our Bichon Frise named Chloe.
I want my students to develope an appreciation for all styles of music!
