Can students bring birthday treats?

We always celebrate students' birthdays in class. It is their choice to
bring treats. It would be great if the students could tell me ahead of time
what day they would like to celebrate and have their treat. We have 23
students in our class.

Can students come in early?

Students may come in early if they need help with homework. I am here in
the morning by 7:30. All they need to do is take the early bus to school.
I do ask that students come prepared with most of the work completed and
specific questions about their homework. This is to avoid students coming
in early to BEGIN their homework! Students can also go to homework help room before and/or after
school for extra help. They are welcome to stay in for recess in the library to do work- but again,
this is not the time to begin homework that should have been started the night before.

What happens if I forget an assignment?

The student recieves a red alert for each missing assignment. The first one
is a warning. The next red alert needs to be signed and returned from their
parents, along with the completed missed assignment. The third red alert
received means the students will do their homework during recess in the
office and a phone call will be made home to the parents.
