| HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE POSTED WEEKLY UNDER "ANNOUNCEMENTS"
Students should expect about 30-60 minutes of homework per night.
Reading Log: At least 75 minutes per week. Reading logs must be completed
and signed. Due every Monday.
Friday Folders: Must be emptied, signed, and returned to school Monday.
Please bring back 1-2 pieces of work that your child would like to save for
their 5th grade portfolio.
Spelling: Pre-test is Monday in class. Monday night students write
misspelled words correctly three times each. Due Tuesday.
Spelling pages are due Thursday. Students should review words Thursday
night. Spelling test is Friday.
Math: assigned practice work every night. Students will also be assigned an
extended reponse problem on Monday and it will be due every Friday.
Reading: Students will be assigned practice book pages depending on the
story and the day.
Humanities: Geography and TFK is given out every Monday and due on Fridays.
Students may also have homework in Reading, Science, and Humanities which is
given on a day-to-day basis.
HOMEWORK HELP:
Before School: 7:30-8:15. Students should arrive at the Media Center
no later than 7:40am. Late students will not be admitted. Also, students
who attend morning homework must stay until they are dismissed by the
teacher. Homework must be attempted at home first.
After School: Homework assistance will be held in the Media Center on
Monday- Friday after school from 3:30pm-4:30pm. Students
may take the "late" bus home.
