This is my 1st year teaching 5th grade band in Keeneyville School District
20. Previously, I taught for 24 years at Glenbard West High School in Glen
Ellyn and retired from there in 2007. During my career I also taught K - 6
Physical Education and summer band camps for grades 5 - 8. I have Bachelor's
degrees from Luther College (Physical Education) and the University of
Minnesota (Music Education) and a Master of Music degree from Northern
Illinois University.
My goals for the 5th grade band members are to:
1) Learn as much as we can about playing an instrument.
2) Learn how to work together to make music as a group.
3) Learn about the many emotions that can be portrayed musically.
4) Have Fun!
