Homework
Your 2nd grader will have homework every night except for Friday. Please
encourage your child to find a quiet place to complete his/her homework; away
from the TV or other distractions. At our house, the kitchen table is the
favorite spot. Second graders are not able to complete their homework
independently yet. They will need some help from you or somone else - an
older sibling is fine. Thanks so much for your help at home.
Mondays
Spellling: write each word from the weekly spelling list 3 times.
Read the Phonics Book of the week to or with someone & get a parent signature
Tuesdays
Spellling: write a sentence for each spelling word.
Read the Phonics Book of the week to or with someone & get a parent signature.
Wednesdays
Spellling: take the Spelling Practice Test & get a parent signature.
Read the Phonics Book of the week to or with someone & get a parent signature.
Thursdays
Spellling: complete the pictures for each word or write in a FUN way
Read the Phonics Book of the week to or with someone & get a parent signature.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday: READ, READ, READ!!
