Questions often asked:
Does my child have to do Accelerated Reader?
Only if he or she chose this as an option for the Quarter-long contract. Sometimes I require students to take an AR test if we have read a novel as part of our reading class, and then I use the AR test for a grade.Back to Top

Does my child really have to stay in at recess for a late assignment?
The consequence for late or missing work is a lowered grade, if it is a graded paper, and paying one full recess. Responsibility is key for success.Back to Top

Will I have to sign the Study Skills Binder (SSB) all year long?
No - most students are responsible in recording and doing homework themselves so I don't require it after the mid-term point of the first quarter. However, if a student consistently has late assignments, I will ask you to check the SSB each evening and continue to sign until the student improves in the area of responsibility.Back to Top
