I make it my job to make sure all students are safe when they are on the
internet. I teach them how to be Cybersmart or safe online. I strive to teach
my students to follow the District 300 Technology Policy. Students will
learn how to be respectful, cautious, appropriate, and use common sense
while using technology at school and in their personal lives.
Students will have the opportunity to use a variety of computer hardware and
software. They will complete projects using programs such as Microsoft Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Smart Notebook,and Movie Maker.
Some of the projects include; Newsletter Design, Web Searches/Quests,
Educational Research, and Multimedia Presentations. Students will use
digital cameras, camcorders, and video editing equipment to create their own
movie. A key element to this class is keyboarding. Students will learn to
type at a productive pace and then use the skill to create a variety of
technology assignments.
