Welcome to my class. I am thrilled to get to know you and your child. It is
my goal to make this a great year of growth for all learners. Through active,
hands-on work and play, we will learn so many skills and create so many
friendships. We will use "Handwriting Without Tears" to introduce letters and
proper letter formations. We will do cooking projects, messy art projects and
more to explore with all of our senses. It will be so much fun.
If you are able to attend our parent orientation night, please let me know and
I will send home a parent packet.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns through email
(chruby@kidsroe.org) or phone. (815-623-2118) Through open communication we
can work together to create the best learning environment possible. Let's have
a super year!

Happy New Year Everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We
are back to school
and are already working very hard at school. We will be focusing on letter
id, name writing and
learning our address. I will be doing assessments for our progress reports
that will be out later this
month. We then can meet at Parent/Teacher conference time.
Keep on working on zipping at home. It would be so helpful if everyone could
zip when it is time to
get ready for home.
We are hoping for some more snow for some snow play outside. I will send home
a note so you will
know when to send in snowpants. We would love to try to make a class snowman.
Some classroom items we could use are:
shaving cream
paper towels
shelving
gel pens
blank CD's for recording music
Have a great day!
