English 3 students were given a book choice list for the research paper we will be working on
second semester. This list was given out on December 1st so that if students choose a book that
we will not have read together in class by time the research paper starts, they will have time
to read their book. We will be starting the research paper on February 9th.
****SIGNED BOOK CHOICE FORMS ARE DUE BY MONDAY, DECEMBER 15TH!
English 3 students will need a copy of The Great Gatsby by January 15, 2009.
AP Language students will need a copy of My Antonia by January 12, 2009.

The LWC Library has many books on CD. Some books are available for download into your iPod! If
you feel it would be beneficial to hear the books via recording, stop in the library and ask if
they have the book you are looking for. The library has many books on CD that are read in our
curriculum.

If students need help with writing, they can visit our WRITING CENTER! The writing center is
located in D124, and students can either fill out a blue reservation form or email Ms. Goldie at
