Will my student have homework?

Homework is given on almost a daily basis. We ask that our students write
down the week's homework in their planners on Monday.

Can my student receive extra assistance?

Special arrangements can be made for the student to receive some extra
help before or after school. This extra help after school is intended for those
students who are completing the work and putting forth good effort, not for
students who do not complete any work and suddenly feel the need to
"catch up." Office hours are Thursdays after school for anyone.

How is my student scored on homework?

Homework is graded on a completion basis. If the work is completed it is an
automatic 10/10 points. Completion means that the student made a serious
attempt to complete the work, even if the answers are incorrect. A student
cannot simply write down any answer just to make it look like it's complete.

Do you accept late work?

Yes I do. I will accept late work up until the day of that section's quiz.
Work will be accepted for half credit. Work will not be accepted after the
scheduled class period in which the student is to take the section's quiz.
Lincoln-Way's policy on late work due to absences applies to this class as well.
