Welcome back. This is my third year in the bilingual program here at Lincoln
School. I am a certified K-9th grade teacher and have an undergraduate and
Masters degree in Elementary Education. I also attend postgraduate classes
at Rockford College. I think it is important to keep learning and improving
my teaching skills so that I can do the very best job in helping to educate
my students. I look forward to a busy, fun-filled year of working together
and learning with you and your child.
I am a strong advocate for pushing students out of their "comfort zone" and
challenging them academically.I also realize the importance of the social
aspects of learning and will foster an environment of respect and
responsibility. My mission for the class is to help my students become
thinkers and develop a love of learning. I want to help them not only
develop skills but also an excitement and enthusiasm for reading, writing,
and math. I want to instill in them a "can do" attitude and the confidence
to set goals, reach higher and try harder than ever before. I want them to
discover for themselves that the real value is not the goal but the journey.
I will do my part to make sure my students have a positive, rewarding,
experience in 4th grade this year and I will expect them to do the same.
