	          Islamic studies

Preschoolers are grasping the idea of the 5 pillars of Islam beautifully. We
recently learned about zakat and thanks to your help and support, Preschool
donated $9.55 to zakat. May Allah(swt) reward all of you (ameen)!

What’s New!
*People Around the World
Next month pre-schoolers will be learning about the diverse cultures in our
classroom. We would like your assistance to make it a memorable journey for
our children. I will be sending a detailed letter with the assignments for the
students and their families. We also need volunteer parents to come to our
class and share their culture with our students.

	Reminders
*Please check the weather and dress your child appropriately. We will still
continue to go outside (weather permitting). All jackets, hats, gloves etc
should be labeled with the student’s name, as they can easily get lost or
switched with other students’ belongings.
*If your child is wearing rain/snow boots, they have to bring a change of
regular shoes they can wear in the classroom.
*Make sure your child always has a change of clothes at school.
*Preschoolers should come to school in full uniform daily (unless otherwise
notified). This includes only white undershirt.
*Please update your contact info with the office.
*Please continue reading every night,
you’re doing a great job! Keep in mind that if you don’t read or if you don’t
bring your folder/reading log, you will get a highlight for that day.
*Keep in mind that the school
documents reasons for tardies and absences, so please inform a teacher the
reason for your child’s tardies and absences.
