English 1

Welcome to English 1 or freshmen English. This freshmen English course is designed to expose students to different types of literature with an emphasis on short stories, novels, plays, and poetry. Students will develop an awareness of literary terms and an appreciation of various writing styles and intents. Writing assignments of varied purposes and lengths will be given. The course also includes studies of both vocabulary and grammar that are integrated throughout the course.
