Well, I suppose this is where those interested read about me. This is my fourth year as an English teacher at Marian Central.  I received my undergraduate degree in English/Secondary Education from Northern Illinois University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  At Northern, I was a member of and an executive board member of the English Honors Society, Sigma Tau Delta.

I currently teach four freshmen English classes, one senior honors course, and co-teach the school's publications class with Mrs. Loy. As a part of the Publications course, I am the faculty advisor for Marian's newspaper The Crown.  I will once again be the assistant director for Marian's fall play. If you are interested in being a part of these groups, don't hesitate to ask.

I spend most of my waking hours at Marian in room 127. I also enjoy working with computers, so if you have any questions regarding the use of this website, feel free to ask.   When I'm not teaching or planning, I enjoy spending time with family and friends , and discovering new music. As most in the English department will tell you, I'm also an avid fan of British literature, one of my favorites being William Shakespeare. One of the few American authors I enjoy is Cormac McCarthy. If you are truly interested in the study of literature, check out Thomas C. Foster's "How To Read Literature Like a Professor". I quote it often in class.

Thank you for visiting the site. I look forward to a successful year at Marian and helping your students become successful individuals.
