Mr. Winkelman is an 1992 graduate of Marian Central and a 1996 graduate of
St. Mary's University in Minnesota. This is his 16th year as a teacher and
his 11th at Marian. He teaches Junior/Senior PE and Junior/Senior Strength
Training. He also the Head Varsity Boys Baseball coach.
The basic mission for all of our P.E. classes is to have fun, give us your
best effort each day and be a positive member of the class. Each student has
their own strengths and weaknesses but the one thing that we can control each
day is our effort. As kids grow and mature it is important for them to
understand the benefits of physical exercise and how if effects their
development. Whatever paths these kids take after they graduate the one
thing that they can control each day is their health and wellness.
