Collage
This year, 7th Grade Advanced Math students
will be adding a new project to the math curriculum. We will be creating a
Math Collage, based on a topic of their choice. The topic can be
anything--sports, animals, restaurants, hobbies, vehicles, music, etc...
They will research their topic and answer the
following statistics. Each statistic must have 5 pieces of information to
support it.
I have created a Collage as an example. My
topic is Johnny Cash. Here are some of my statistics...
1. Johnny was born February 26, 1932 and died
on September 12, 2003
2. Johnny wrote 800+ songs from 1956-2003.
3. Johnny won 21 awards and had 14 Billboard
No. 1 Singles from 1956-2003.
4. Johnny played an average of 300 shows a
year.
The students will then take the statistics
and create a poster board collage to represent their information. They will
present these on the last day.
