GRADING POLICY FOR 7th GRADE GEOGRAPHY
1. All homework is due when called for.
2. If a student does not have their homework at the time it is called
for, the student will sign a work refusal paper. The student will have until
3:30 that day to complete the assignment for partial credit. If the homework
assignment is given at the end of the day, the work refusal will be thrown
away. If the assignment is not turned in by 3:30 then the student will
receive a zero for the assignment.
3. Points are given for each graded assignment. Those points are added
and divided by the total possible points.
A= 90%-100%
B= 80%-89%
C= 70%-79%
D= 60%-69%
F= 0%- 59%
4. If students continue to fail to turn in homework, students and
parents will be informed of a change in the failure to do homework. This
could include detentions, intervention from administration or ISS( in-school
suspension).
5. Homework is a very important part of the success of a student in
Geography. The failure to do homework will result in a lower grade and
can cause the student to fail Social Studies.
6. Keeping the agenda up to date with assignments and using class time
and study hall time wisely will help to ensure that assignments are
completed. Assignments can be found on PEN channel 36, and
www.teacherweb.com.
