Required Materials:
o Textbooks are required every class day unless otherwise instructed.
o A notebook is required everyday for note taking, and in-class writing assignments.
o A binder, or folder, is required for storage of homework, quizzes, tests, and other materials.
o A blue or black pen, a red pen, and a pencil are needed.
o Any other materials – handouts, homework, etc.
Classroom Rules:
o Be on time! Be in your seat when it is time for the class to begin or be counted Tardy.
o Be prepared! Have all your supplies, including homework, with you every day.
o Behave in a way that helps you and others learn.
Homework Policy:
Homework is given on a regular basis since it is essential to learning. It is regularly assigned and checked.
o All homework assignments are due at the beginning of the next class period.
o Advance notice of due dates for long term assignments is given. If you have an excused absence on the day a long term assignment is due, it will be collected on the day of your return. Late work on long term assignments will NOT be accepted.
o If an assignment is late, the following procedure will be followed:
· You will have until the end of the day to get that homework in for HALF credit only.
· If you miss three assignments, you will be assigned a 30 minute detention.
Make-up Work:
o If you have any excused absences you will be allowed to make-up all work and receive full credit. Make-up work must be turned in on the day after you return to school.
