About Me
I taught 8th grade Social Studies at Northwood for 7 years beginning in 2004,
and one year of AE Reading in 2010 before moving to 6th grade English this year.
During my time away from school I enjoy cooking, gardening and traveling. My
husband and I live in Northbrook along with our
dog (Murphy). We like to spend a lot of time outside hiking, playing with
Murphy or biking.
I am very excited about my move to 6th grade English! I hope to spread my
passion for reading onto my students
by exploring new worlds and characters through fiction and giving them freedom
to learn about non-fiction topics that truly
interest and inspire them. It's going to be a great year!
