Directions for Reading Contract Completion print reading contract
1. A minimum of eight (8) book reports are required, two (2) per quarter. Additional book reports will increase your grade in Literature. You may complete your book reports at a faster pace than two per quarter if you wish.
2. You must read the following seven genres plus one partner read, which may be in any of the seven genres.
Genres HF – Historical Fiction
RF – Realistic Fiction
H – Humor
NF – Non-Fiction
M – Mystery
F – Fantasy/Science Fiction
A – Adventure
PR – Partner Read
The partner read means you must read the same book as one to three other students and complete a book report together. There are specific book reports suggested for partner reads.
3. Once you have your book, choose a book report idea. It is best to choose what you will do for a book report before you start the book. This will help you focus on the report as you read through the book. Some book reports require you to complete them while reading the book.
4. Both your book and choice of book report must be approved by the teacher.
5. Then have fun reading and give your best work with your report. I suggest you complete your book report prior to starting you next book report book.
