Students have homework four times a week.
This written homework should
usually take the students 5 - 10 minutes to complete, and should be returned
to school on the following day.
The homework will usually follow this pattern:
Monday - spelling/handwriting
Tuesday - math
Wednesday - Guided reading book with activity
Thursday - reading
In addition to written homework, I expect the students to do the following
activities at home (with parent help) each week:
Reading - every day
Math Facts - twice a week
Spelling - weekly spelling test on Friday
Ducks (phonics) - twice a week
Boom! (sight vocabulary) - twice a week
Creative Writing - once a week
Don't forget that a Reading Record (pink sheet) is due every Monday.
