What is homework hall?

Homework Hall is an after-school supervised program. Any student can go to
the library and study, work on assignments, read, use the computers, or
write. It is a quiet place with an abundance of resources that many children
find desirable. The students are welcome to stay until 4:30 p.m. If a
student is interested in homework hall, they need to let their homeroom
teacher know so that they can let Mrs. Wielgus, the homework hall supervisor,
know. Occasionally, teachers may require a student to attend homework hall
if they have had difficulty getting assignments in on time. Please be sure
that your child has a ride home at the designated time.

How often should my child have homework?

Every student should have one hour of homework each weeknight, not
including 30 minutes of independent reading. Students need to read

If your child does not have one hour of homework, he/she can READ,
READ, READ! If your child consistently has more than one hour of
homework each night, not including independent reading, please let me
know.
