I am a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Elementary Education. I am also a graduate of National-
Louis University with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction
with a special endoresement in Middle School Education, Math, and
Science.
This is my tenth year teaching at the middle school level. I
have participated in classrooms that have been structured as team-
taught, departmentalized, and special education inclusion. I have
recently completed a number of graduate level courses beyond my M.Ed.
in math, science, reading, technology, and brain research. I have
also spent a good deal of time working to align curriculum to the
Illinois State Standards.
I am also involved with extra-curricular activities at Park View. I
have been a coach for the Science Olympiad team, been involved with a
variety of athletic events, and have served on several academic
committees.
To become lifelong learners who are cooperative, responsible, and
able to access information using a variety of resources.
To obtain the skills needed to feel confident about entering seventh
grade.
