Job Descriptions: Class Book Manager:Come in every week to collect and redistribute the class books we write. This takes about a half hour to do. (Could be combined with another job) Take Home Literacy Backpack Manager:Come in on Friday mornings to help the children choose a Literacy Backpack to take home. Help keep records to track backpacks. Click to read more about Literacy Backpacks Penny Store Clerk: Come in twice a month to let the children shop with their PRIDE pennies. Word Wall Reviewer: Come in as available to review word wall flashcards with children that need extra practice. Math Games: Come in during Math Tub Time to help with directions for Math Games. Class Librarian: Keep class library organized. Repair books as needed. Book Cook Parent: Sign up for a Friday morning Book Cook recipe. Click to read more about Story Treasures Book Box Reader: Read leveled books with children that need extra help. Math Fact Practice: Practice flashcards with children that need to learn addition and subtraction facts. File Clerk: File once or twice monthly. Publisher: Help type, collate, and bind books written during Writer's Workshop. Theme Day Helper: Volunteer to come in a be a Parent Helper for monthly theme days. Click to read more about Theme Days Party Volunteer: Sign up to be a party helper for the Fall Party, Winter Party, or Valentine's Party. You can do food, drinks, or games. Field Trip Chaperone: Sign up to chaperone on a field trip. Just check the box on the permission slip if you are able to chaperone. I will get back to you if you are chosen. Please remember that we can only take 3 or 4 parents per trip. I try to be fair and give all parents a chance to go once throughout the year. Researcher:Come in during Research Workshop to help the children gather facts and read non-fiction books.
