Dear Families,







 Books are very important in our classroom and in our first grade 
curriculum.  Almost everything we do centers around reading wonderful 
literature.  There is no better way to build up both our classroom and your 
home library than with our school book clubs.  The clubs that I choose each 
month offer wonderful current literature and a large selection of easy and 
beginner reader books which are so appropriate for your first grade reader 
and very affordable too!
Every month I will send home book club forms from which you and your 
child may choose.  Participation is purely optional.  However, even receiving 
one paperback book each month will motivate your child to read and build a 
quality library to enjoy at home.  We also receive bonus points for each 
dollar you spend, which I use to build our classroom collection.  If you 
choose to participate, please follow these simple directions.






    




1.	Complete each order form.  Be sure to write your child’s name. 
2.	Send one check made out to Scholastic. (Not the school or me please)
3.	Put the forms and check in a sealed envelope with your child’s name 
                and “Book Order” on the envelope.
4.	Place the envelopes in the zipper pouch in your child’s B.E.E. 
                binder.
5.	Please return the orders by the due date so they arrive before I 
                place the class order. 
6.	You may also order online with a credit card.  See link below for
