Dear Parents,

STATE CHAMPIONS. . . STATE CHAMPIONS. . . STATE CHAMPIONS

For the third year in a row, our Competitive Cheerleading Squad won the Junior High State Championship that took place last weekend in Springfield.  Our “Three-Peat” team members include Brenna Burke, Val Minnick, Kaci Spallina, Annie Bojan, Katie Carey, Shannon Duffin, Claire Zupan, Abby Arvesen, Amanda Capuano, Sydney DeHaan, Maeve Lorimer, Mary McKenna, Carly Reno, Allyssa Rewers, Maggie Bojan, Mia DeMonica, Abby Powell and Molly Sullivan.  Our Championship Coaches are Tracey Rewers and Jackie Lopez.

Besides their obvious athletic achievement, I am pleased to report that 13 of these cheerleaders are Honor Roll students.  This is another great example of what a true student athlete is all about.

For those families who purchased magazines in the recently completed fundraiser sponsored by our School Advisory Council, one was the lucky raffle winner of a free month’s tuition.  It was the Pet Family. Congratulations.

Thank you to Mrs. Revers of the Advisory Council for her fine work coordinating the magazine sale.  Thank you also to those who participated in the sale.

Our annual Mardi Gras Candy Sale takes place next Tuesday, February 21.  Candy will be on sale in the St. Joseph room for students to purchase.  The sale is run by our Family and School Association.

Have you seen our great looking new banners?  They are located on the light poles in front of school.   Thanks to our School Advisory Council for taking care of the design and installation, as well as absorbing half the cost.

Congratulations to Mark Ward on his recent election to be our new Football Coordinator.  Thanks to outgoing coordinator Warren Lawler for the job he did during the past season.

This week’s lucky $200.00 Raffle Winner was The Kevin Smith Family.

Just to remind you . . . .there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, February 17 so teachers can learn more about the use of our new Promethean Boards.

There is NO SCHOOL Monday, February 20, in honor of President’s Day.
