8th Grade Language/Reading

-Welcome to 8th Grade Language/Reading!

Books truly do open the imagination to an endless amount of possibilities.  This year in 8th grade, the Accelerated Reader (AR) program is going to be altered just a bit.  Students you will not be required to complete AR tests; however, you will have to meet several other requirements that may make these tests a little bit easier.  In other words, you may take the tests to receive your Rocket Bucks, but they are NOT required.  Don't get too excited because you will be required to read more in depth novels and you will be challenged by what is expected.

For Reading this year, we will focus on the different genres of literature and read several novels. while completing interactive assignments that help stimulate the comprehension process.
