Welcome to Second Grade - Room 103 Seth Whitman Elementary School
Welcome to our website, a place where you can visit all of the important
information about what is going on in our classroom and at school. I hope
you are able to find everything that you need to keep you informed of the
procedures, events, and learning activities for the 2009-2010 school year.
We had a chance to visit with many parents the last few days during
conferences. It is so nice to meet all of you. I'm glad that you took the
time to come in. Thank you for your cooperation.
All students had a chance to check out all of the books in the book fair.
They were so excited to make their wish lists. I know many students
purchased the new Diary Of A Wimpy Kid while they were there. I hope you had
a chance to peek in during conference evenings.
We started a new math chapter over money. Please let your child practice
counting groups of mixed coins at home. Many students forget this concept
when it is not used often.
We are reading a nonfiction selection about a firestation this week. All of
the skills are review. The students will soon take another theme test.
I am adding many math websites to the list. This would be a good way to
practice math in a fun way.
There is no school on Wednesday, November 11th.
