I graduated from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 2002 with a
Bachelor's Degree in English and Secondary Education. I completed my masters
in Educational Leadership in 2007 from Aurora University.
My teaching experience includes teaching Summer School at Palatine High
School, Schaumburg High School, Prospect High School, and Maine South High
School. Directly out of college I worked part-time at Fremd High School,
working with juniors and seniors. I have been at Spring Wood since 2004.
In my free time, I spend time with family--mostly my husband, our daughter
Allison, and son Jimmy. They are only 13 1/2 months apart in age, so they
keep us quite busy! We also have two dogs, Maggie and Emma, but they don't
get as much love since our kids came along.
I would like all students to become more confident in their writing
skills and public speaking ability. I will motivate students to draw
conclusions on their own and become independent thinkers through various
reading and writing activities.
