Welcome Back to Art and the 2012 - 2013 school year! Students need the
following materials with them each day in Art class: their Visual Diary (made
the first week of class), two pencils, an eraser, two glue sticks, and two
black thin Sharpie markers.
Mothers and Others: The art room is always in need of magazines, plastic
containers, old yarn, and aprons/smocks. Thanks!
Reminder to Students and Parents:
At the end of the quarter your child has art, please ask them about their
artworks. It is never the intent of the art department at Spring Wood to keep
student artwork. Students own their artwork and have every right to have
them and cherish them. Often work is kept for display and given back at a
later date; if your child does not receive their artwork back following the
term they have art, please encourage them to see me for their beautiful
artwork! Ceramic pieces are fired at varying times to fit into the kiln, so
often time elapses from the time a student has art, to the time they finally
receive their ceramic piece back. Students should ask about their clay pieces
if they don't receive them.
