Homework is meant to strengthen and reinforce concepts that are introduced in
the classroom. Please remember to check your child's folder for homework
and notes. Most of the time the homework will be stamped as homework but any
incomplete work should be completed and returned. I will put a mark of some
sort on the paper that will indicate it as a paper that can be removed. In
the past their has been confusion, especially with aftercare students, as to
which papers are homework. Look for a check, star, face, etc before removing
it from the folder.
Please practice words ever night. (will start late Sept. early Oct.)
Books in baggies are also part of the daily homework. (after Jan. 1st) I know
this seems like a lot but in first grade they will have homework in different
subjects so this prepares them for the next level. (This is what my job is all
about, teaching and preparing.)
