May I hand in homework late?
Yes you may, but there is a loss of points. Assignments 1-2 days late drops to a 90%. Assignments 3 or more days late might drop to 80%. Missing assignments is not an option.Any missing work will be done at recess or after school. Missing work may result in a deficiency, referral or phone call home. All incomplete assignments also drop a grade.Back to Top

How do I find out about homework & missing assignments?
Homework assignments are posted on this website weekly. I usually have them posted by Sunday evening for the week. I also post long term assignment dates on the homework pages.You need to keep track of your assignments and grades on Power School. If you have missing work, you will be required to stay in at recess or after school to complete.Check every week to make sure you are not missing an assignment- especially if you have been absent. Absent work not turned in is considered missing until it is turned in. You are responsible for turning in absent work in a reasonable amount of time- within 1-2 days of returning. You get one day extra for every day you are absent.Back to Top
How do I make up a missed quiz or test?
Missed quizzes/tests need to be taken within three days of returning to school. It is the student's responsibility for making arrangements with me. Tests can be taken before & after school and occasionally during recess or class time.Back to Top
What if I fail a test/quiz or want to improve my grade?
Failure is not an option. If you fail a test/quiz, then you may retake the test or parts of the test until you show understanding of the material.If you get below 93%(A), you will be able to retake the test/quiz or the portions you missed. Once test/quizzes are returned, you have three days in which to schedule a time before or after school to take the retake. All failed tests/quizzes or tests/quizzes that you want to improve must be signed and returned when you take the retake. (Monday mornings, Wednesday afternoons and some Friday afternoons are not eligible for retakes.) Occasionally, retakes may be done at recess time. If you are constantly retaking tests/quizzes, there will be a conference with your parents to determine better study habits & testing strategies.In other words- do not think you do not have to study for a test/quiz because you can always re-take it.Any take home tests or open book/notes tests are not eligible for re-take.Back to Top
Will I receive a check on my report card for missing or late work.?
You will receive a check on your report card if you have more than 3 missing assignments or a combination of more than 6 late and/or missing assignments at the end of the quarter. If you have less than 3 missing or 6 late, you do not receive a check.Back to Top
