What would be a good healthy snack?
Some good healthy snacks would be fruit, cheese, vegetables, etc.
A good "rule of thumb" is what ever comes from the Earth and has not
been processed or that has not had any chemicals added, is usually a good choicel
What should the children do for homework?
Students should finish any work that was assigned and not completed
in school. Children should read nightly and practice math facts daily.
Should parents be helping their children with writing projects?
Because writing is an ongoing process, yes, parents should be guiding
their child through the writing process. Always begin with some type of
graphic organizer to put thoughts together. Your child's "Writing
Resource" folder gives the guidelines for the different types of writing.
Students have been taught how to use their dictionaries to check
spelling and use C.O.P.S. for Capitals, Order, Punctuation, Spacing &
Spelling to perfect their rough draft. They have also been taught to
indent, have a catchy lead or beginning, use transition words for the
middle and have an interesting ending.
