My Pets

My recommendation for anyone even THINKING about a pet: BUY A BOOK on the kind you want!

Cinnamon, one of our former cockatiels, and a great type of bird for a "first pet." They are relatively small, like toys and to be with humans, and don't hurt if they do try to bite. They also like to be scratched on the head and neck.

One more bird!

My Husband holds Sprite, a Quaker
with special needs. Her legs don't
want to work correctly, but she is
finding her own accommodations for
that. She is an adorable
member of my family. He also holds
Cinnamon and Sunshine. I have
Quincy, Charlie and Max. (This was the
17th take for this photo, btw - YOU
try to get them to all hold still
for 10 seconds!)

We also purchased a boy Quaker, Petey,
but he is not yet used to being held,
and so cannot appear in a photo.

Max

Max passed away in November of 2010. He was a very large, pampered guinea pig who was at least 9 years old. We will miss him poking his nose into our legs to remind us to pet him!

Sunshine

She loves when my husband scratches her head.

Charlie and Quincy

My 2 boys. They say "hello," and Charlie loves to hear his name and the word "bad." Quakers and Conures are definitely for advanced bird owners!
