News Letter

                                                   This week in Kindergarten  
*We will be learning about Fairy tales this week.  We will discuss the different elements of fairytales and 
compare and contrast each of the stories. 
*In writers workshop we will be writing our own fairytale including some of the elements we discussed 
that are in a fairytale.
*In math we will be working on predicting.  We will predict and see how close we were to our 
prediction.
*Tuesday is our 100th day of school, and we are going to celebrate!  We will be doing many activities- 
stringing 100 fruit loops, completing our 100th day book, and doing 10 different exercising moves 10 
times.   
*On Tuesday we have mass. Mass starts at 8:15 so please try to bring your child to school by 8:05 so 
they can walk with us to mass.

                                                   Valentine Mailbox
In preparation for our Valentines Day party, please help your child decorate a Valentine mailbox that 
they can bring to school with them on February 14th.  A shoebox or large cereal box would work great 
for the mailbox.  Please cut a hole in the top so valentines can fit through the slot.

Monday, February 20th No school Presidents day

                                                 100th Day Snack 
We will be making the 100th day snack in class on Tuesday, February 7thand I need every student’s 
help.  Please send your child to school on February 7th with a bag of 100 of a snack item.  For example 
you can count out 100 goldfish, or 100 pretzel sticks, or 100 m&m’s or...  Then on the 100th day 
students will dump their 100 snack items into the bowl and we will mix it together.
