Room 302 News
The second grader did a wonderful job performing the ABC's of Thanksgiving. At the same time we
have been reading and learning about the pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving. We will be writing about
cooking a turkey and having a scavenger hunt on the internet to discover more interesting facts about
that time period. Our feast was the hightlight, the children enjoyed all the special dishes that were
prepared. Thanks to the room parents and all the parents who contributed and came to share the
afternoon with us.
December will be very busy. We are finishing up our Strega Nona reading projects and we will be
having literacy stations with Christmas activities to complete. We will be talking about Advent and how
we can be doing good deeds. The children will write down something they did for someone else to
complete a chain of good deeds. We will see if we can make the chain go around the entire classroom.
Our Christmas concert will be Thursday, December 17 in the church. We will have our classroom party
the next day.
