The second graders are going to be working hard over the next few months. We will be learning to
divide groups equally.
In Religion we will be going over all the parts of the Mass and how we respond to the priest. Please
be sure when you take your child to church on the weekend that they are participating. remember to
have your child wear their cross when they attend Mass on the weekend and to wear their cross to
school on Tuesdays when we go to church together.
In Science we will researching and taking notes about penguins. Each students will be writing a report
on a penguin.
The students will be writing a poem this week in Language Arts. They will make an idea tree to help
them find words to describe their main idea. They will discover through listening to poems that they do
not always rhyme.
We began cursive last week. The students will be learning how to form the letters and then we will
learn about connecting the letters together to write words.
On February 23 there will be an optional parent-teacher conference. If you are interested in meeting
