This is my 7th year teaching 2nd grade at St. Josaphat's and I am excited to have this group of
students.We will be working together to create a community of learners.
I had a very busy summer with my oldest daughter getting married. It was a wonderful occasion
and we all enjoyed being together to celebrate. The summer seemed to fly by and I was able to enjoy
some time outdoors playing golf and tennis. One of my favorite pastimes is reading and I enjoyed
several books. Though the summer is over I am looking forward to some more sunny weather and a
beautiful Midwest fall.
The second graders will form a community of learners who are enthusiastic and responsible. They
will treat each other with respect at all times. We will work together to create an environment in which
all are welcome. As the year progresses the students will be challenged and encouraged to always do
their best work. They will evaluate their own work and will make goals to insure that they are focused
and have a goal to work towards. The second graders will support each other as they grow in their
faith with the two sacraments they will be participating in this year.
