Wreath Cycle

The Class' Essay

Recycling, reducing, and reusing helps keep our Earth clean. The Earth is the animals’ home. When we don’t recycle, we use too many natural resources like trees and water. If we use too many natural resources we will take away animals’ food and homes. Rainforests are called “the lungs of the Earth”. When we cut down the trees we are taking away oxygen from plants and animals. One person can throw out so much garbage each year. If we recycled some of that we wouldn’t create so much waste and pollution. We would have more space because we wouldn’t use so much for landfills. We would be saving trees because we wouldn’t have to take them to replace what we used. It takes a lot longer to replace natural resources than it does to use them. We only have one Earth so we need to take care of it.

Each student created one animal to contribute to the wreath. The rest was a class effort! They had some very bright and creative ideas. We had a great time learning about recycling and natural resources. I am very proud of our hard work and of course... our wreath!
