Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Happy Valentine’s Day! Tomorrow, students will have the opportunity to exchange valentines at our party in the afternoon. Please help your child decorate a box or a bag to be used as a mailbox for our valentines. We will discuss Valentine’s Day traditions and the importance of telling our loved ones that we care about them.
This week we will also be learning about President George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We will discuss their leadership and some of the monuments we have in the United States that honor them.
In Math, we will review halves and learn about fourths in fractions. We will also take some time to review addition, subtraction and graphing. In Religion, we will review Ordinary time and learn about what happens in our Church during Lent.
Our sight words for the week are ‘where’ and ‘how’. Please remember to review the sight word flashcards that are sent home with your child as frequently as possible.
