Third Grade

In the first quarter, third grade students will be introduced to a new keyboarding program -- Type to Learn. They will progress through a number of lessons learning the location of all the letters on the keyboard. In addition, they will do some basic formatting exercises in MS word. They will also do Math drills and use KidPix to create topic specific artwork.

Fourth Grade

Fourth grade students will start the year reviewing and gaining proficiency in keyboarding. They will also be completing short assignments using MS Word. They will be introduced to MS Excel and will use Inspiration as a graphic organizer.

Fifth Grade

Fifth grade students will start the year reviewing and gaining proficiency in keyboarding. They will be creating documents using MS Word. The elements of PowerPoint will be reviewed. Students will create a PowerPoint presentation and share it with their classmates.
