I am a second-career educator. I left a successful career as an IT project
manager/director in healthcare to become an educator. What led me down
another path? God has a way of getting His way! I was a catechist in the
religious education program of our parish in California for 4 years and
year-by-year, it became more and more obvious what I should really be doing.
So armed with my Bachelors and Masters in Management and Leadership, I began
the teaching credential program at Concordia University. I am an example of a
lifelong learner!
This is my fifth year at St. Raphael. My journey on the way to St.
Raphael included the Diocese of Joliet as a Catechetical Associate for
Catechist Formation and Whole Parish Faith Formation in the Religious
Education Office, the Director of Religious Education at St. Anne in Oswego
and a fifth grade teacher at St. Mary Immaculate in Plainfield.
On a personal note, I have four beautiful grandchildren that bring my
husband and I great joy! I love to garden and read and have even dabbled in
watercolor and pastels.

My Mission Statement

I will support the St. Raphael Catholic Elementary School mission to educate
the whole child spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and
socially by providing an active learning environment that ensures that the
student continues to develop their thinking process by developing their
analytical skills, as well as their growth in personal responsibility and
accountability.
