Why is it important for children to learn a foreign language?

There are numerous benefits to learning a second language
when one is young. It is
cognitively as easy to learn a second language as it is to learn the first due
to the brain development of a young child. When young children learn about the
structure of other languages, their ability in English increases, and t
will achieve a more native grasp of grammar, pronunciation, and inflection in
the second language. By incorporating a foreign language into the elementary
school curriculum, children will develop a greater appreciation for diversity.
Teaching young children a foreign language will provide them with invaluable
advantages both now and in the future.

What happens if a student turns in a LATE assignment?

If the assignment is worth 5-10 points, a student receives a 0, unless
he/she is absent or a good excuse is provided (in writingK) by the parent. If
the assignment is graded (93, 87, etc.), the student's
grade is lowered 10 points for each day that it is late. It is extremely
important for students to do their homework. As the old saying states,
"Practice makes perfect." This is certainly true when learning a second language.
