Should my child read every night?

Yes. Your child should be reading for at least 10 minutes every night. It
is okay to read to your child as well. You can also take turns reading. In
class we call it buddy reading. Your child will read a page and then you
read the next.

My child uses their finger to read. Is that okay?

Absolutely. The only time I discourage it is when they are reading fluently
and their finger is slowing them down.

Should my child be practicing their math facts?

Yes. They can use their flashcards from their supply list to practice
addition and subtraction facts. We will be conducting timed tests starting
in April.
