Today was the third time this year that we have walked to church in the rain.
You may want to send a small umbrella for your child to keep in their locker,
so they may be protected if we walk in the rain again. Thanks!
We are working hard at school to keep the environment as germ-free as
possible so we can keep all our students in school. Make sure your kids are
washing their hands with soap and water frequently. I see some hands at
school that look as if they haven't been washed in awhile.
Next month for Book-It, the theme is fantasy books. I have loads of them at
school, so the kids can go to the crate and pick one out! This is a short
month, so the book reports will be due the 17th.
I want to thank all the parents who have signed up to read to the kids on
Tuesdays. The kids really look forward to our guest readers. There are plenty
of open spots, so if you have some free time. . .
I also want to thank Mrs. McClary for donating items for our treasure box and
some scrapbooking things and Expo markers for our classroom. I really
appreciate it all. Mrs. Carden also replaced our pencil sharpener and sent in
pencils and erasers for the kids. Thanks!
When sending in treats for the kids, be sure to send in napkins, plates,
forks, etc.-- anything that is needed to serve the treat. Thanks!
Thanks to Mrs. Chris Bertelsman we have a chairperson for Indian Day--
HOORAY!! It is all planned-- the chairperson's jobs are to get helpers and to
buy the supplies needed for that
day. If you are interested, let me know and I will give you more information.
