Monday
Bill Braun, a WWII vet came to talk to us because we wrote him letters when he went to Washington, D.C. to see the WWII memorial.
During story time Miss Pritchett read The Polar Express.
We learned about measuring in math.
In computer class we worked on our animal slide show.
We had to place commas in dates and places in English.
After story time, Miss Pritchett gave us bells if we could hear them and still believe.
Tuesday
In handwriting we learned V, Y, and W.
Most of us finished our science questions on forests this afternoon.
We talked about the Indians more in social studies.
Mrs. Mastroianni was our guest reader today. She read I See Santa Everywhere and Snowmen at Christmas.
In English we are stil working on explanatory writing, but if we finished, we started on a story for a Christmas contest.
Gabby brought delicious doughnuts for being student of the week.
Wednesday
During story time Miss Pritchett read Auntie Claus.
We had our math chapter test.
In social studies we had questions to answer.
We worked on our animal Power Point in computer class.
In reading we worked on leveled readers.
We went to Mass this morning and the NJHS had their induction.
Thursday
Our book buddies came this afternoon.
We got our math test back, and everyone did very well.
In PE we played basketball.
In music class we sang "Children Together" for Mr. Grimmer.
We worked on explanatory writing and the Christmas writing contest in English.
Some of us said our "First Snow" poem.
Friday
In art we made Christmas light bulbs with our favorite part of Christmas on them.
This afternoon we had centers.
This morning we had our spelling test.
We combined verbs in sentences in English.
In reading we talked about story elements and summarizing.
We talked about telling time in math.
