The majority of the scholarships listed below do not require a social security number, legal residency or citizenship. As a general rule, if an application asks for your social security number and you do not have one yet, leave that space blank but fill out and turn in the application.

IMMIGRANTS ASPIRE SCHOLARSHIP!
To help young immigrants unlock the door to their futures, Elizabeth Walder, Esp., with her attorneys and staff, is delighted to announce a scholarship essay competition with a grand prize of $2,000 and two runner-up prizes of $500.  The scholarship awards will be payable directly to each winning student's college or university.  Winning essays will be posted in a special section on our website, and the winners and their families will be invited to a reception at our offices just north of Chicago

Traditional high school awards are a lot like freshman algebra—a simple formula without a lot of variables. Discus is different.   • If you are a high school junior with a strong academic record and an annual family income of less than $60,000, we encourage you to apply. Many past award recipients have also been part of the first generation in their family to attend college.

  • The College Prep Scholarship online application is completely free and opens in February. In addition to filling out the online application, you are required to submit transcripts, test score reports, and one letter of recommendation.

  ********The QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship is designed for high school juniors who have shown outstanding academic ability despite facing economic challenges. Most College Prep Scholarship recipients come from households earning less than $60,000 annually and have experienced long-term economic hardship.

  In order to be eligible to apply, students must be juniors who are planning to apply to college during the fall of their senior year.

  A note about citizenship requirements: US citizens, Permanent Residents, and international students attending high school in the United States are eligible to apply for the College Prep Scholarship.

WOMEN'S BOARD SCHOLARSHIP
