What do I have to do if I need to leave school early?

Please see the nurse if you are not feeling well.  She will 
notify your parent/guardian for an early dismissal.  You must be 
picked up by a person that is identified already as an emergency 
contact.  Your parent will pick up you up from the Counseling 
Office in room 108.  The person picking you up must come to 
Steinmetz with an ID and they must be on our computer system as 
an emergency contact.

What if I need Service Learning hours?

Forms are available in the Counseling Office room 108.  For 
questions regarding Service Learning please see the Service 
Learning Coaches.  For 9th and 12th graders the coach is Ms. 
Eshoo and she is located in the library.  Ms. Moumji is the coach 
for Sophomores.  I am located in 108.  Students can ask questions 
or get their forms signed during their lunch periods.  Ms. Rivera 
is the coach for Juniors.  Students are to contact Ms. Rivera 
between 7:30-8am every morning except Tuesdays.

What do I have to do if I am absent from school?

Have your parent/guardian write an absence note.  The following 
must be included in the note; studen's name, division number, the 
date(s) the student was absent, the reason, the parents phone 
number and signature.  The note is to be returned to the 
attendance office in room 100A.

What happens if I am late to school?

After swiping in a security guard will issue you a colored ID 
that indicates you were tardy to school.  Your ID is held and 
will be returned to you during your "Attendnace Intervntion."  If 
you are late you are required to complete an Attendance 
Intervention in room 132 directed by a Counselor.  You are 
required to come to your Attendance Intervention ON TIME and 
lunch will be provided to you in that room.  If the tardiness 
continues your consequences will be more severe resulting in a 
parent conference or a suspension.  Please do not be late to 
school or class!!
