What time does school start/end?
Students must be in their Homeroom (division) at 8:02am, each
day. I suggest
students arrive to school no later than 7:30am, so they have
enough time to
enter the building, go to their locker, see friends, take care of
any
necessary business. The school day ends at 2:31pm.
May I leave the building?
NO, NO, NO!!! Steinmetz is a closed campus! Students are to
remain in the
building.
What is the school uniform?
The uniform for students consists of a forest green Steinmetz
polo shirt,
dark pants, jeans or khaki that look neat, not baggy, all white or all
black
shoes.
During the colder weather months, students may wear a long
sleeved top UNDER
their Steinmetz uniform shirt. The long sleeved shirt MUST BE
WHITE, GRAY or BLACK. NO
OTHER COLORS ARE ACCEPTABLE!
Hoodies are not allowed, EXCEPT the Steinmetz hoodie
When can I see my counselor?
Students may see their before or after school or during their
lunch period.
Students are not to come to the counseling office during class
time.
Where can I use a telephone?
There is a telephone for students' use in case of an emergency in
the
counseling office, room 108.
How do I get an early dismissal?
All early dismissals are handled by the counseling office. All
guardians
picking up students early must present a photo ID. If a student
is sick,
the nurse or counselor will contact the guardian.
